چکیده

In recent decades, electronic devices have tended towards miniaturization, which necessitates the development of new cooling systems. Droplet on a heated wall is effectively used in power with high heat flux densities. The use surfactant leads to an increase diameter wetted spot and rate droplet evaporation. Despite wide interest numerous works this area, there are still unexplored questions regarding influence temperature convection, nonisothermality, decrease partial pressure vapor increasing concentration. This work experimentally studies effect evaporation range 20–90 °C concentration aqueous solution sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) from 0 10,000 ppm. It shown for first time that inversion related occurs temperature. key factors water SLS changes Thus, at slightly wall, growth becomes predominant. At flux, role nonisothermality To determine individual vapor, experiments liquid layer were carried out. obtained results simplified estimates may be develop existing calculation models, as well optimize technologies highly surfaces.

On Modeling Evaporation of Sessile Drops

Evaporating drops and thin films have numerous applications, from nanometric photoresist films in semiconductor applications to small sessile drops used for analysis of DNA microarrays [1]. Evaporating sessile drops are particularly interesting due to nonuniform drop thickness and the presence of contact lines (separating liquid, gas and solid phase). These factors may lead to nonuniform evapor...

On evaporation of sessile drops with moving contact lines

We consider theoretically, computationally and experimentally spontaneous evaporation of water and isopropanol drops on smooth silicon wafers. In contrast to a number of previous works, the solid surface we consider is smooth and therefore the droplets’ evolution proceeds without contact line pinning. We develop a theoretical model for evaporation of pure liquid drops that includes Marangoni fo...

Modeling evaporation of sessile drops with moving contact lines.

We consider evaporation of pure liquid drops on a thermally conductive substrate. Two commonly used evaporative models are considered: one that concentrates on the liquid phase in determining the evaporative flux and the other one that centers on the gas-vapor phase. A single governing equation for the evolution of drop thickness, including both models, is developed. We show how the derived gov...

Precision AFM measurements of dynamic interactions between deformable drops in aqueous surfactant and surfactant-free solutions.

The atomic force microscope (AFM) has provided unprecedented opportunities to study velocity-dependent interactions between deformable drops and bubbles under a range of solution conditions. The challenge is to design an experimental system that enables accurate force spectroscopy of the interaction between deformable drops and thus the extraction of accurate quantitative information about the ...

Efficiency of Modified Zeolite with Cationic Surfactant Hexadecyltrimethylammonium Bromide in Removal of Diazinon from Aqueous Solutions

Background and purpose: Diazinon is one of the most widely used pesticides in agricultural pest control that pollutes water resources. The aim of this study was to evaluate the adsorption of diazinon from water by zeolite modified with cationic surfactant hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (HDTMA). Materials and methods: The amount of HDTMA surfactant used to modify the zeolite was one-fold E...
